Delete your data

There is no account to delete. Job Alert has no sign-up, no login, and no user profile on our side, so we hold no record tied to you by name or email. Almost everything the App remembers lives on your own phone, and clearing the App’s storage or uninstalling it removes that data immediately.

1. What is stored on your device

The App keeps all of the following locally. None of it is transmitted to our servers, and we cannot read it.

Data Where it lives
Saved and bookmarked jobs Local Room database jobsfinder_db
Search history SharedPreferences (search_history)
Job role, experience level, work type, country, language SharedPreferences (user_preferences, country_prefs)
Daily search counter, onboarding and premium prompt flags SharedPreferences
Cached listings for the home feed SharedPreferences (home_cache_prefs)

Delete it — clear app storage

  1. Open Settings on your Android device.
  2. Go to Apps and choose Job Alert.
  3. Tap Storage.
  4. Tap Clear storage (on some devices, Clear data).

The wording varies a little by manufacturer and Android version. This wipes the Room database and every preference file listed above, and the App returns to its first-launch state. It cannot be undone.

Delete it — uninstall

Uninstalling the App has the same effect: Android removes its private storage, including the database and all preferences. You can also remove individual items inside the App — unsave a job from the saved list, or clear your recent searches from the search screen — without wiping everything.

2. What is never stored at all

We do not collect, and therefore cannot delete, any of the following, because the App never asks for it:

  • your name
  • your email address or phone number
  • a CV, resume, cover letter, or any uploaded document
  • payment or card details — premium purchases are handled entirely by Google Play
  • your precise location
  • your contacts, photos, files, or messages

Job Alert also does not apply to jobs for you and does not submit anything to an employer, so there is no application record on our side to erase. Applications you make on an employer’s own site are between you and that employer — to have those removed, contact the employer or the site you applied through.

3. Analytics data

The App reports anonymized usage events and crash diagnostics to Google Firebase — which screens were opened, which features were used, session length, device model, Android version, and approximate region derived from your IP address. These records are not tied to your name or to any account, because there is no account.

  • Retention: analytics data is retained for up to 14 months under Google’s default policy; crash reports are retained for up to 90 days. Both expire on their own.
  • Stop new collection: uninstalling the App stops it sending anything further.
  • Request erasure: email us at privacy@apperssystems.com and we will delete the records we can identify. Because the data carries no personal identifier, please include the details in section 5 so we can find them.

4. Advertising data

Ads in the App are served by Google AdMob, which may use your Advertising ID — a resettable device-level identifier — along with usage signals to select ads. Appers Systems never receives that identifier and cannot delete it on your behalf, but you control it directly:

  • Reset the identifier: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID. This severs the link to everything previously associated with it.
  • Delete the identifier: on Android 12 and later, Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID. Apps then receive a string of zeroes instead.
  • Opt out of personalized ads: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization. Ads still appear, but are no longer targeted using your interests.
  • Withdraw ad consent: if the App showed you Google’s consent form, you can reopen it from the App’s settings and change your answer.
  • Remove ads entirely: a premium purchase turns ads off. Manage or cancel it under Payments & subscriptions in the Google Play app.

To have data deleted on Google’s side, use Google My Activity and Google My Ad Center — those controls reach records we have no access to.

5. This website

jobalert.apperssystems.com uses Google Analytics for traffic measurement and sets cookies to distinguish visits. There are no accounts, forms, or newsletter on this site, so it holds nothing personal about you. Clearing cookies for this domain removes what is stored in your browser; see the website section of our Privacy Policy for what is collected and how to opt out.

6. Ask us to delete something

For anything not covered above, email privacy@apperssystems.com. To help us locate records that carry no name, include what you can:

  • the subject line Data deletion request
  • your device model and Android version
  • the approximate date and time you last used the App, and your country
  • your Advertising ID, if you still have it and are willing to share it
  • an order or transaction ID, if your request concerns a premium purchase

We reply within 30 days. If we cannot identify any record matching your request, we will tell you so plainly rather than leave it open. We will not ask you for more personal information than we need to complete the request.
